Data Entry

Each watch collection form consists of fields you enter data into. The fields may be a checkbox you just click, a field you just enter data into, a dropdown combo box that contains a list of data you can choose from, or a description calculator that will help you provide a professional description for the data field. In addition to fields you enter data into, there is a watch description found above the picture tab control that will display your watch description as you complete the watch data entry. This gives you a good idea how the description is shown on some of the reports.

The data entry tab control is divided into three parts. The first part contains the majority of watch description fields. this is where you describe the watch itself.

NOTE: If you double click the 'Condition' field, a popup definition window will open providing information on the different condition grades.

The second tab on this control contains all the description fields about the case and watch cost/purchase information. On this tab, you can also enter the current value of the watch. If you have spent money on watch repairs, you can either enter it in the appropriate field on this tab, or double click the "Repair Costs" field and enter the appropriate repair costs in the pop-up form that opens.

The last tab on this control contains two fields. One is for additional description you want to enter that doesn't fit into any of the fields. The 'Description' field data will appear on any reports you print out including the 'For Sale' reports. The 'Comments' field data you enter will not appear on the 'For Sale' lists. This allows you to enter private comments that you do not want to make public when you sell watches.
