Tracking Repair Costs

There are two ways to record repair costs. The first is to just enter a cost into the 'Repair Costs' field on the 'Case and Cost' data entry tab. The only draw back to this method is that you will not have any details of the repairs.

If you like to track the itemized repairs, you can do so by double clicking on the 'Repair Costs' field to open the 'Repair Costs' form or click on <Forms><Repair Costs> on the toolbar. When you open the 'Repair Costs' input form, the form opens to allow you to enter repair details for the current watch record.

You can select the repair part by using the provided pre-filled drop down list. This list contains almost all parts found in watches. As with all drop down lists, you can edit/add to the pre-filled list for future use. You are not limited to the number of repair lines in this form. Once you have entered all the required repairs and costs, you can close the form and the total repair costs will automatically be entered into the 'Repair Costs' field on the watch data form. You can also print out a report of watch repairs for a specific watch or for all repair costs you have entered for all your watches. The report is accessed from the toolbar on the watch entry form.
