Why Add a Picture

If you do a high volume business, adding a picture to your repair quote will assist with identification so items are not mixed up. When you create a Repair Quote, it is a fairly simple process to add a picture to your database if you are set up appropriately. Today with the proliferation of digital cameras at a reasonable price, it is simple insurance to add a picture for your records.

How to Setup for Pictures

Since the pictures you add to your database are simply links to picture files, you will want to create a folder on your computer that will hold only pictures. Create a folder with an appropriate name in a location that you will be able to find easily. A suggestion would be to create a folder named \pictures under the directory where Repair Shop is located.

Adding a Picture to a Repair Quote

To insert a picture, you just click the command button <Add Picture> found on page 2 of the Repair Quote. NOTE: you get to page 2 by clicking on the button.

A dialog box will open allowing you to browse to the folder where you stored the picture.

Select the right picture file and click <Open>. the picture will then appear on your Repair Quote. If you want to delete the picture link from your database, click the next to the <Add Picture> button. This will not delete the picture from your computer. It will only remove the picture from your Repair Quote. NOTE: the pictures do not appear on the Repair Quote printout.
